Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure in Universities and Higher Educational Institutions (FIST) Program

The Scheme “Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST)” is intended to provide basic infrastructure and enabling facilities for promoting R&D activities in new and emerging areas and attracting fresh talents in universities & other educational institutions. It is considered as complimentary support for enabling Departments / Centres / Schools / Colleges to pursue research activities more effectively and efficiently.

Department of Science and Technology Govt. of India have sanctioned the Rs.95 Lakhs under DST-FIST Scheme in 2018. Under this fund, college augmented teaching and research facilities. The college has purchased X-ray diffractometer-powder form (Rigaku Miniflex) under this scheme, for the promotion of research culture amongst students and teachers.
